Ben Swainbank, VtES Storyline Coordinator, has posted the aftermath story written by Daria Patrie for the Anarch & Alastors storyline event. The storyline event tournaments around the struggle between the Camarilla Alastors and the Anarch faction took place from August to November 2008, and you can find the individual results and finals standings on Google docs. The overall winner is the Anarch faction with “Yazid Tamari” as their key vampire.
The next storyline event named “Rise of the Imperator” is already on its way, but details on rules and dates have yet to be released.
The card text of the two new cards usuable/available in the on-going “Anarchs & Alastors” VtES Storyline have be disclosed:
Flames of Insurrection
Unique Master. Requires a ready anarch
When a minion opposing an anarch in combat leaves the ready region, the controller of that anarch may move a counter from the bank to a vampire in his or her uncontrolled region. Any vampire may call a referendum to burn this card as a +1 stealth political action.
+1 stealth action. Requires a non-Red List, non-anarch vampire.
(D) Choose a non-titled, non-Red List minion who either has succesfully bled for 3 or more pool since your last turn or is infernal or anarch. The chosen minion becomes Red List.
These new promo cards will be legal for use in tournaments on September 9th, 2008.
Details about the first part of this year’s VtES Storyline event named “Anarchs and Alastors” have been disclosed. The storyline article on White Wolf’s website contains the prologue story, information about the VtES Storyline League rules and ordering info for the Storyline pack. Basically the league is a draft format in five rounds/league games. Before each round six cards with Anarch, Alastor or Red List background are auctioned, and can be included later in the draft deck. The auctioned cards are all already published cards, but the Storyline pack includes also two new promo cards (or more likely a number of copies of these two cards).
